The Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies is proud to host the 11th European Conference on Traumatic Stress (11th ECOTS).  We are inviting you to an exciting conference in Oslo June 15 - 18, 2009. Conference location
Oslo, Norway´s capital, is located in the heart of Scandinavia. Surrounded by fjords and hills, Oslo offers a fantastic scenery. Oslo combines big city life and easy access to Norway´s most impressive sights, such as the Viking Ship Museum, the Holmenkolen Ski Jump, the Munch Museum, the Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Arctic explorer ship "Fram". There is also the opportunity to relax and visit the beach or enjoy a boat trip on the beautiful Oslo fjord.  The midsummer climate is actually better than our northern latitude might indicate. Due to the Gulf Stream the midsummer temperatures can vary from 15-28 degrees Celsius. Enjoy the Nordic light and a taste of Oslo. The Conference Hall is located in the centre of Oslo, whitin walking distance of the Royal Castle and in the middle of the main shopping area. With its central location and convenient accessibility, Oslo is easy to visit whether you arrive by car, ferry, train, bus or plain. Oslo Airport Gardermoen is located 45 km north of Oslo reached within 20 minutes by express-train.
